We have classes for everyone from Preschool to adult.
The preschool and elementary classes will be doing the Deep Blue curriculum, this Cokesbury curriculum. This curriculum teaches about God and what it means to be a follower of Jesus, through Bible stories and opportunities to serve as disciples in the classroom, the local community, and the world! This year the kids will be exploring Guatemala, Kenya, Alaska, and Armenia as they dive deep into God’s Word together.
The Jr./Sr. High: class will be using LinC which is a weekly bible based lesson series on current issues that matter most to Jr. and Sr., High students. Each lesson include leaning activities and life application discussion questions.
Again this year we are offering the Journey class for those who are seeking to continue to live the questions on their journey of faith.
The FaithWalk will be doing a Chuck Knows Church series called “The Committee” about the Park Grove Community Church as they examine the struggles that they are facing when making a difficult decision. There is truly something for everyone. In addition through, the year we will be doing some additional studies.
Please watch for more study opportunities coming up.
The enemy wants us to feel rejected . . . left out, lonely, and less than. When we allow him to speak lies through our rejection, he pickpockets our purpose. Cripples our courage. Dismantles our dreams. And blinds us to the beauty of Christ’s powerful love.
In Uninvited, Lysa shares her own deeply personal experiences with rejection from the incredibly painful childhood abandonment by her father to the perceived judgment of the perfectly toned woman one elliptical over.
In this study we will delve to biblical depths, gut-honest vulnerability, and refreshing wit, in order to:
- Release the desire to fall apart or control the actions of others by embracing God-honoring ways to process their hurt.
- Know exactly what to pray for the next ten days to steady their soul and restore their confidence.
- Overcome the two core fears that feed our insecurities by understanding the secret of belonging.
- Stop feeling left out and start believing that “set apart” does not mean “set aside.”
End the cycle of perceived rejection by refusing to turn a small incident into a full blown issue.
Classes will meet beginning Sunday, September 17 at 8:00 a.m. or at 6:00 p.m. Leader will be Brenda Scramlin. If you have any questions you can contact Brenda Scramlin or Gloria Gonzales.
Attention Third Graders. If your child will be starting school this year in third grade, please contact the office. We want to present third graders with their Bible on September 10th during the worship service.

Church School Teachers. There will be a meeting of all church school teachers and alternate teachers on Wednesday, August 30th at 6:30 p.m.

We started our church school year on September 11, 2016 with 5 classes. Our attendance on that date was 40 students and teachers. Our average attendance was 29. Our average giving was $24.43. We designated our fourth Sunday offerings of $178.00 to the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission. For Lent we distributed Lenten folders to the church school and church family. In the Lenten folders we collected $196.50 which was also designated to the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission. In addition to Sunday morning classes, we have also had 3 study groups with an average attendance of 2 people. Church School will begin again on September 10. Please watch for upcoming exciting family events this summer. Thank you to everyone who participated in making this past year a success. Gloria Gonzales and Kelli Stojic.
We will be taking kids on awesome adventures alongside some of their favorite Bible heroes to discover the qualities that make us truly heroic in God.

To each and every one of you taking part in this online style summer study, THANK YOU! I have enjoyed reading the book, and responding to the questions posed. A few have certainly shook my heart, and knocked my noggin – which is good!
I hope you have found your time in this book worthy & valuable.
I, personally, have missed face to face conversation – I believe, LOVE, the subject is a great one to discuss – ponder – evaluate – and practice, and for me is a valuable action in person. If you are interested in getting together in person to discuss our summer study experience, “LOVE. PERIOD. When All Else Fails” please let me know. Perhaps we could meet following worship one of the next few Sunday’s (at least before Church School starts on the 13th of Sept.)
